内容简介

In present book, control of inclusions in Al deoxidized steel is intensively discussed. The authors want to share with the reader important studies by us in recent years, that is, targeting low melting point inclusions in Al killed special steels. Based on systematical laboratorial study on slag-steel reactions and its influence on the control of inclusions, the authors proposed the high-basicity calcium aluminate refining slag, which is very favorable to target liquid/semi-liquid inclusions. The evolution phenomenon of inclusions from alumina to spinel and finally to low melting point calcium magnesia aluminate were described, and the mechanism was elucidated. Exploring study was also carried out to clarify the influence of refractory materials on the evolution of inclusions. Moreover, based on the understanding of chemical reactions among slag, steel and inclusions, prohibiting the formation of CaO-containing inclusions in steel was also explored.
