This book combines the principal line of supply side structural reform with practice of Chinese steel industry. Focus on the general requirements of high quality development, it reviews the development of global and Chinese steel industry taking reduction, innovation and transformation as the context. It summarizes the development law from industrial transfer route, analyzes challenges and opportunities confronted by the steel industry in the new era, as well as proposes strategic orientation and implementation measures of development of the steel industry over the coming years.

The author states that high quality development of the steel industry must be driven by innovation. It is necessary to promote integrated development from nine aspects of green, coordination, quality, differentiation, service, intelligence, diversification and internationalization in order to reshape the industrial value chain and continuously improve the industrial competitiveness. This concept is important.
